Babies for Christmas UPDATED w/photos

 Hi There~!

I'll be having company for the next 8 days so I won't be posting much.
You all are probably a lot like me, in that you are in Christmas Overload:)
I've seen so many beautifully decorated homes--  crafts to try for next year--
recipes I'll be passing on to my daughter, since she's the best baker
 and just Holiday Galore photos.

Since so many of you have written and asked about Baby Carter- this years Christmas Baby,
I thought I'd let you take a tour of Babies I have made.
I used to sell on ebay but that got to be just too stressful to the point I could barely sleep and rarely ate.. Yes, I am compulsive.
Now I only make Custom Order Babies, each is a One of a Kind. I never duplicate them.

In case anyone is interested in having a baby of their own , you can reach me at::
my email addy  , and we'll discuss it.

warning in advance-- these are custom made- one of a kind and it takes me approx. 6 weeks to make a Baby.  However, they are Lifetime Babies:) so its worth the wait..

For now, I hope you'll enjoy seeing the babies who have already found their Forever Home.

Merry Christmas to each of you ~! May you be blessed with good health, happiness and a Grateful heart.
Sonny

Christmas Bedroom with Baby Carter

   Hi there..

My new camera arrived and it took me a few days to figure out how to use it.  Its my first slr or I think thats what ya call it :-)  Cannon Rebel- so those who know about cameras will know what it is.

anyway- on auto it works great so I wont try to get to techie with it. I did have to learn out to make the flash stay off...

Welcome to my 2015 Christmas Bedroom and my newest baby who I have named Carter, becuase Sheila is a wonderful lady and her grandbaby Carter has been ill recently...

  More Photos- Less Talking lol..

I just used a lil tree I got from Ballards last year when they went on clearance sale. I was amazed when I opened the box and saw how real it looked and felt...

Lovin the pillow from Pottery Barn. I've wanted one since they first came out.
I lucked out finding red n white gingham check ribbon for my wreath and tree.
I like a lil country in my home, to go along with the cottagy look.

I participated in a Secret Santa on a forum I belong to and the 3 photos below show the homemade ornaments my SS sent me.  Little Angels made from ribbon, which I will be trying to make myself next year:-)
beads and greenery inside these glass ornaments.
she did such a great job.. love them.

what tiny tree wouldnt be prettier with white stars and red balls.

little people in the pines on the bench below, with buffalo check pillows.

now on to my star attraction, Baby Carter.
born:: 12/ 7/ 2015
21 inches long
6 lbs. 3 oz of total cuddleness:)
when I've had folks here they always look down the hall, cause my room is open to it and most say SHHHHHH... omgoodness we didnt know you had a new baby.. or shhh be quiet the baby is sleeping.  so I whisper too just so they dont feel silly.. lol lol

yes she'll be someones belated Christmas present , as she wont be shipped till mid january.
isnt a baby under the tree what so many folks hope to find.
To me she says Peace to all Mankind..

I am so grateful you visited me here on Dream Lane and I hope you enjoyed seeing my Christmas Bedroom and Baby.

Holiday Blessings to each and every one of you ~!

I've Been Wrapping

 Hi There ,

I've been wrapping some of our packages and thought I'd share. I'm not nearly done but this is the basic theme of them all..

Yes, for ya'll who may notice I did change the draperies so they flow long with our Christmas Theme, which is sorta, Dickenish:)    with a bit of Nell Hill mixed in lol...

I hope you all are having a wonderful day..  Its day 2 of rain and clouds in NC so excuse the bad lighting and my slightly shaky had..

Odd that I can see more in a photo than I can with my nekkie eye so the chair n package photo will be getting some pops of red and green, later..

so much more decorating to do there.  I hope you'll keep checking in for snaps of more projects I complete.. I mean seriously, If no one sees all this I'll feel kinda sad:)

Off to make cranberry muffins for tomorrows breakfast.  Ham and Cheese omelets , some fresh chopped fruit , with 3 very special folks to join me for brunch.    Hopefully a nice friendly game of rummy after that..    I'll let Home Alone play softly inn the background just to add some holiday spirit to the day...  wish Ya'll could be here too..

 We'll Leave a Light on for Ya~!!!

as always, thanks so much for visiting me..   Means more to me than I can express.

Looking a Lil Like Christmas

 Hi Folks..

Its been awhile but I have been so busy in the real world it only left time to visit some of ya'll.
I bought a new rental home, folks have already moved in, yeaaaaaaa...  I got contact lenses and I am thrilled with them..  No longer a slave to hunting for my glasses .  Its an amazing thing, for sure.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we sure did.   I was a good girl and didn't over eat:)

This year I decided to put the tree up first, get it like I wanted it and then move on from there.

I wanted to share at least one photo with ya'll..  I wanted a kinda, sorta Dickenish look this year and I am tickled with how things are coming along..   Now I will admit I spent several hours looking around at the Nell Hill site..   I know lots of others BORROW from her ideas too , so I'm sure she wont mind:)

Today I'll do the mantle,  coffee table and the tv cabinet.    Maybe, just Maybe I can get the whole great room done so I can move on to the bedrooms:)    I'll basically carry this same theme thru the whole house, or what of the house I plan to do..     I'll just avoid the restrooms as a post title "Christmas in the Lew"  just doesn't appeal to me , giggle.

I'll be back with more  as soon as I get things done..

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Sonny

Southern Woodland Fall

 Hi there~!

We're starting our mornings here in NC in the low to mid 50's..  I love sitting on the screened in porch with my coffee and smelling the clean slightly crisp air.

Granted we'll be in the mid to high 70's by this afternoon so I guess I should say we're having Fall mornings:)

Its been a busy time around here with doctors appointments for my daughter, eye and dental exams for me and getting prices on hardwood floors for both my bedroom and the guest room/office.

I did a little fall but I have to admit much of my free time has been spent thinking about the Christmas holidays..  For once instead of waiting till the last minute- I have Planned, and even purchased some of the items for this years theme.  I know its early so I'll just say,, BUFFALO CHECK, shiny white wrapping paper and butcher twine..  As usual I'll be making most of the ornaments and décor as well as designing the graphics to be printed up. This takes time folks and Sonny is S L O W.. lol

is it just me or is anyone else thinking up Christmas ideas already?

So here is the fall we have here on Dream Lane.  I got the little woodland animals from Michaels last year at the fall closeout sale 1/2 price.  faux leaves and candles from a small craft store in Lexington NC.  I like to buy local when I can..  I used my reds than orange tones cause they just suit us better.

One the table beside my chair are a few lil pumpkins I found at a yard sale this summer.
Just keeping it simple is what I enjoy.

More of the coffee table ,

Those little critters make me smile.

*********************
Its baking day for me and I better get to it. Cupcake and breads for this week.
I'll also cook a roast and a ham, then each time choose a frozen veggie to nuke and
we'll have lots of good food to eat and almost no Mess..

Happy Saturday to Ya'll

Pumpkin Muffins Low Carb

 Hi There..

We are finally getting the rain here in NC that we needed so badly all summer.
The grass is greener than its been in months and the 75 degree temps makes me smile.

I'm so happy to have you visit me.  Wish we could sit out on the screened porch with some hot spiced tea and these muffins moist, delish Muffins.  They make the house smell like Fall and I know how Ya'll love anything Fall:)

Even if weight loss and good health isn't important to you- you're gonna love these~!
I mean seriously- a 5 minute cozy, comforting food on your plate with almost no mess to clean up..
 That's my kind of recipe..

Lowering your daily carb count really is the secret of weight loss and feeling healthier and more energetic.  Carbs in foods slow us down mentally and physically and make our bodies have to work 5 times harder.. That's tough on the organs folks:)

I've lost 36 pounds since feb. 27th 2015 and never felt hungry or deprived. My glucose numbers are lower as are my cholesterol readings and blood pressure.
In general I feel better than I have in 20 years and all while enjoying yummy food.

Sites, forums and groups all over the internet can give you all the information you'll need to change your life while enjoying a cyber community of helpful- informed- supportive folks.
Does'nt get better than that ,right?

Fall of the Past

I have a few things going on here at the ole homestead:)   so I thought I'd stroll down memory lane and invite ya'll to go with me.

These photos are from 2012...its a bit sad to admit I don't know where most of the items I used disappeared to ..  That's what happens when you move and from a home you've been in 17 years, in a week~!     I hope someone else is enjoying the items in their fall home.  Every moment has a silver lining and to think its bringing someone else a smile is good enough for me.

I'm happy I have the photos though..

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to visit me.. I always enjoy having you here..

Dining room Mirror

I saw a mirror at the Wayfair site but the price seemed a bit high to me, so I didn't put it in my cart..

On Wednesday I stopped in my local goodwill store since I was right across the street from it getting my groceries.

I was just strolling along and something caught my eye.. A large mirror with a dirty, brownish frame.   Luckily I didn't get turned off of it at first glance..  Walked over, looked at the tag, 12.00.~!
It costs me more than 12.00 when I stop at burger king:) so I snatched it up and home I went..

The mirror was easy to remove, then a good scrub n rinse of the wood frame and let dry..

2 coats of rustoleum white spray paint and in 3 hours it was back together and ready to hang..

I'll take a full shot of the dining area when the plates and art go on the wall.. But I just couldn't wait to show you my 15.00 mirror.. 12.00 -mirror    3.00 spray paint..  cheep- cheep- cheap enough:)

here's the one I saw at Wayfair..  I like mine better and am so happy I waited and found a great price on my new treasure.

Thanks for stopping in to visit me.  I always look forward to it.
Sonny

Fall Printable or Screensaver for Ya'll

I've noticed Fall has begun to show up in blogland, so I thought I'd offer this fall printable to ya'll..

I'll be changing out some draperies this weekend so my fall decorating can begin next week. Today is my weekly cooking too.  It helps me to stay on course if my main foods are cooked and in individual storage bags in the fridge so I can just choose-nuke and eat:)

I saved some fabric scraps to make new pumpkins and ordered a fall arrangement which hopefully will arrive soon.    I'd like to try one in a quilted pattern this year .. My sewing skills are minimal but it can't hurt to give it a try.

It's a bit cooler here so I'll spend some time out on the screened in porch and do some reading or maybe take my singer out there and sew some..

  Its been sized for ::
8x10----5x7----3x5..

Happy Labor Day ~
8x10 --- Can also be used as a screensaver
Just right click and when the drop down box appears, choose, Set as Background..  easy peasy:)
