A few New to me Treasures

I found some treasures and what better place to show them off than at some of Bloglands Favorite Parties.
::party links are listed at the bottom of this post:: please go look at all the talented folks who have posted at these parties. You'll enjoy it bunches and will probably find some great information, tutorials and words of wisdom..
Now on with the show:)

I love this book~ Feather Your Nest~ Mary Carol Garrity. I've already spent hours with it and plan to spend many more. It seems like I find something new every time I look through it.   I found this LARGE soup tureen with plate and spoon in excellent condition at goodwill for only $3.50..  can ya believe it.. I was thrilled.
The birdcage is also a GW find for $1.50. The prayer plant I had and put it in the birdcage.
trying to get a good shot of the plant in the cage was'nt as easy as I thought it would be...

I'm one of those folks who always wants to know, if things were reversed, how would it look..
so lets see...looks pretty good this way too..
 here are the Party Links..
Rhoda ~ Southern Hospitality ~ Today's Thrifty Treasures

Elements of a Kitchen I Love

I rarely get to participate in Kim's Wow Us Wednesday Party, so when I saw this kitchen I just had to post it.

Again its compliments of BHG's email I got this morning.
Now, I love my own kitchen- adore it even, BUT, there are some elements here I wish I had done in my own remodel .   If you are thinking of redoing your own kitchen, you may find some of these idea helpful.

to see all the folks who posted their pretties at Kim's party
I dont have a window in my kitchen, though there is a 6 foot patio door close by for extra light. Still, I love the look and all the decorative things you can do when you have a window over your sink or at least near it.

I just love all this light and brightness..The cornice over the sink is so pretty that no window treatments are required. But I would have used some anyway:)
Why Why Why did I do my bar area like this- why lol.. if I ever get a chance to redo it, I will.

I've been trying to figure out a way to make a micro/coffee station like this since I saw it at 8am this morning. As yet, I havent found a spot I can use but you better believe I'll keep configuring till I do.. Now that I've seen it, its become a must have for me. MUST:)
These are pretty light fixtures and they suit this sort of kitchen very well.  I know they'll appeal to a lot of you so I couldnt leave them out of this post.    I can see these pendants going right along with the Beachy theme folks are into now.

Is it just me or does white subway tile go with almost every style of kitchen.  I may just have to install some in my own kitchen next spring.  So clean and stylish.
Now mind you this is just decorative but gosh, what a WOW factor is gives this corner. Again, why didnt I think of this.. oh well, I still love looking at these photos and one never know what changes life will bring and this opportunities to redo another kitchen.
Did you find anything you like?  Anything you might want to add to your kitchen?  I hope you enjoyed dreaming along with me..    as always,  thanks for visiting.

TableTops and Accessories

I've had no time to do any tablescapes in my own home but when I cam across these beautiful samples in my email I knew I had to share them with all of you..

Go see all the pretties are ~MARTY"S PARTY

Our new roof is on but the new landscaping is on hold till the ground gets cooler.. I cant stand the thought of planting and loosing any of the new pretties.

I also accepted a few new companies to do mock ups for.  That and helping out with the art for their new websites is taking a lot more of my time than I thought it would..

That sure was a terrfic ROO party Sheila had. Thanks so much to all those who visited me and also for sharing all your pretty Roo's with us..

I thought all of these were so pretty even though some of them wouldnt work in my own home.
Hope you enjoy them and get some ideas for your own scapes... Compliments of BHG ~!

I can see this one in my bedroom:) ooolala

This one is calling my name.. The lamp, the ottoman- oh YEA babe. I need this
Cool crisp and so pretty..
Thanks so much for visiting me.. Its always a joy to have your company..
goodness- august sure is flying by. It'll be fall before we know it an I can hardly wait..

Roo's in my Kitchen

I wanted to join in Sheila's Party..
Roo party

and since its a counter scape I'm joining Marty's Party~  tablescape
I only have a few Roo's to show this year.
Two cute Roo' lamps I found for 5.50- for both of them, yeaaaaaaaa..
My daughter bought me this Roo bell.. I wonder if I should ring it when I want her to do something.. giggle
I may have shown this Roo last year but since he moved over here to guard the fruit, I'll show him again.
This Roo lamp sits by the sink and functions as a nice night light if anyone needs something from the kitchen.
Couldnt get a good photo of these . Large white Roo and Roo canisters make a cute vignette on the fridge top.. I got my pretty sign from ~Kathy  at Creative Home Expressions.
love it~!

I can hardly wait till the party starts and I can come visit and see all of Ya'lls Roos..
Thanks for stopping in to visit.. We love having ya here.
