Southern Woodland Fall

 Hi there~!

We're starting our mornings here in NC in the low to mid 50's..  I love sitting on the screened in porch with my coffee and smelling the clean slightly crisp air.

Granted we'll be in the mid to high 70's by this afternoon so I guess I should say we're having Fall mornings:)

Its been a busy time around here with doctors appointments for my daughter, eye and dental exams for me and getting prices on hardwood floors for both my bedroom and the guest room/office.

I did a little fall but I have to admit much of my free time has been spent thinking about the Christmas holidays..  For once instead of waiting till the last minute- I have Planned, and even purchased some of the items for this years theme.  I know its early so I'll just say,, BUFFALO CHECK, shiny white wrapping paper and butcher twine..  As usual I'll be making most of the ornaments and décor as well as designing the graphics to be printed up. This takes time folks and Sonny is S L O W.. lol

is it just me or is anyone else thinking up Christmas ideas already?

So here is the fall we have here on Dream Lane.  I got the little woodland animals from Michaels last year at the fall closeout sale 1/2 price.  faux leaves and candles from a small craft store in Lexington NC.  I like to buy local when I can..  I used my reds than orange tones cause they just suit us better.

One the table beside my chair are a few lil pumpkins I found at a yard sale this summer.
Just keeping it simple is what I enjoy.

More of the coffee table ,

Those little critters make me smile.

*********************
Its baking day for me and I better get to it. Cupcake and breads for this week.
I'll also cook a roast and a ham, then each time choose a frozen veggie to nuke and
we'll have lots of good food to eat and almost no Mess..

Happy Saturday to Ya'll

  8. Very pretty, Sonny! I love your little woodland critters. : ) Yes - I am thinking Christmas! When I've been out and about if I see something that would be a good gift I am getting it when I see it. I also have to get a new Christmas tree this year so that has been on my mind lately.

Our weather has been similar here in Ohio. Cooler mornings and then it warms up to the mid-70's by afternoon, but it is a nice 75 (no humidity). I understand we are supposed to have a cool break after Monday when the highs will only be in the mid-60's, but I love it when it is like this.

  9. You make this all sound super easy with the preplanning. I am a planner who never follows through as consistently as I should. Looking forward to what you do for Christmas. ;)
