Red Rooster Plates

While I do love my black , white and apple green table scapes, sometimes I just feel the need to dine in Color and today I choose multiple color but with strong dashes of red. Its all the fault of the sweet rooster salad plates I found at Kmart.. Yes I said Kmart. somewhere I rarely look for things but after finding these I'll be checking there more often. set of 4 ~ 7.99, which I felt was a fair price. Micro and dishwasher safe , nice and sturdy with a good weight.. I wasnt expecting them to be of such nice quality but I am thrilled with them.

I found this scrap of fabric in my stash to use as a tablecloth. I tried using my black and white toile but it just wasnt working for me. Now next time Tommy, my darlin dh, asks me if I REALLY need all the fabric in my containers I can say with ferver, YES I DO, and then show him why..
I'm developing a real love for all  things Rooster.  I dont follow fads so when a few people told me roosters were on their way OUT , my answer was Good, take them OUT of your home and send them over to Mine:-)
Just a few views of the table and oh my goodness I almost for my new basket find from goodwill, 2.00 and now cherished by me..
Thank you so much for visiting my newest tablescape and Me..You are always welcome and very much appreciated.  Stop by anytime. Theres always hot coffee, sweet tea and cold soda for you and we'll scrounge up some snacks too...
Happy March 1st to you and yours

  4. Those are cute plates. I don't have a K-mart anywhere near me, maybe I will look on line.

I never worry about what's "out". I can't (and don't want to) be changing out my decor just to keep up with what's new at Pottery Barn.

    Talk to you soon ;)

  5. Wow-I have that same teapot cookie jar!!! Same color too! I believe it belonged to my grandmother. Mine still has the Apco label beneath it. I've only seen one other of it--in a specialty store, and it was going for quite a bit of money, so you got quite a bargain!! I didn't have it out on display for awhile, but seeing yours displayed inspired me to take it back out! It's now in the middle of my dining room table!

  10. Sonny, those plates look great. Roosters will always stay around. They are a county French staple. Are those the country living plates at K-mart. I saw them in a magazine and haven't gone yet. I love them. Perfect for my kitchen. I love how you set your table. Just beautiful.

  28. Hi Sonny...

Ohh my, I'm just now having the time to make my way around the Tabletop party! I'm so glad that I came by your place...I love, love, LOVE your table! You know, I have been "eyeing" those same rooster plates from Kmart...had seen them online but wasn't sure about the quality! Since you have said that they are nice...I may just have to get them! Hehe! They sure make for a pretty table!!! I love how you alternated the white and red in your place settings...very pretty! Oooh...and the fabric that you used for the tablecloth...gorgeous!!! Love your beautiful stacked trays with all the fruit! Ohhh...and that little white porcelain basket is simply gorgeous! I think I need it! Hehe! In my post for Tabletop Tuesday, I used a white teapot that looks very similar to the basket...they would make a beautiful team!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful table with us, my friend! I also wanted to tell you that this is my very first visit to your blog and I have found it absolutely delightful! I am adding you to my list of blog follows and look forward to getting to you know! So very nice to meet you, Sonny!!!
