All the Fall I'm Doing

I'm not sure why I cant get into the HUGE Fall, multiple displays this year.  Maybe its because I've been looking at them since the end of July~!  Here in blogland-all over the store- magazines-Everywhere..
No offence meant by that statement, just the Facts Mam' , just the Facts..lol

I'll leave this display out a couple of weeks and then put it and all the rest of the fall decor containers away.
The weather here in NC is wonderful..  Cool mornings and pleasant temps by evening..  Leaves are starting to fall and I notice the grass isnt growing very fast, even though we've had lots and lots of rain.

and now- onnnnnnnnnnn with the show:)

I always like to see what things look like if life was done in black and white:)

The lantern you see in the photo was all Black but then I saw the white with black tops somewhere and just Had to make mine look as close to those as possible.      Black they were 16.00 each-- the white with black top lanterns I saw were half the size and 68.00 each  YIKES.. So for about 80 cents worth of valspar spray paint I got what I wanted and I am tickled with them.. oh yea- I did  2  but just one showing in this scape.
and a Fall Tag for anyone who'd like to use it..
As always ,  thanks for visiting me.  I do love having Ya'll here and enjoy reading your comments.

Party at Pams.. Treasure Hunt Thursday

Have a wonderful wednesday and Come back to see me, Ya hear:)

  3. Your fall vignette is stunning! Thank you the inspiration! What a great mix of pumpkins, grapes and shells! Very creative.
I have black lanterns too and I think they just may need a coat of white spray paint!

  6. You wouldn't think just changing the base color of the lantern to white would make that much of a difference, Sonny, but it does! A wonderful difference! I love your vignette. I'm the same way this year. I am more looking forward to Christmas decorating, but I'll leave up my bit of Fall stuff until the day after Thanksgiving.

  9. Here! Here! I second your sentiments. I could not get into fall until the temps dropped into the 90's and even then I felt "So over it".

Now I am seeing Christmas and wish I could shut my eyes to everything.

    LOVE your display!

  13. OMG! Your arrangement on your coffee table (?) is just stunning! It looks professional! And you really did a great job on the lantern. I don't have a lot of fall decorations out either, it's just more to put away and Christmas following that! I'm tired just thinking about it!

  14. Loved the way you modified the lanterns. They look great. The sea shells tucked into the Fall arrangement were so pretty. They blended so well with the other elements and gave them just that little something special. Your little pomeranians are so pretty. Our first pomeranian had similar coloring and was big. We have a black (with a little white) pommie now. He is my blog mascot, Fuzzy.

  15. Love your lantern makeover. I do know what you mean. Its my fave time of the year but I haven't had time to go all out. But since I am having a huge Thanksgiving dinner here at my house, I need to get my butt in gear.

Love your little vignette. Sometimes the smallest of things can make a huge impact. Love how you worked in a few shells.

  20. My wonderful housekeeper broke my decorative lantern. She felt so bad and I wanted to assure her it was okay and that I had another. I got the other one and broke it myself taking it to the mantle:)

  21. Hi Sonny,
Absolutely love your Fall centerpiece, gorgeous and abundant.
    So lovely.

I like how you put the shells in with it too. Looks great. Like what you did with your lantern too. It does look better. Amazing the $$ you can save when you just put on your thinking cap, huh! You are a smart cookie....love that about you.

Hope all is well, come over and see what I have been up to all week.
    Blessings, Nellie

  22. Love that lantern! Your fall display is lovely too. I always have a hard time with fall displays because I am not much of an orange person. Christmas ~ ah that's another story ~ red, silver, forest green or just lot's of white. That's an easier palette for me to get excited about.

    Big Hugs,
    Susan and Bentley
