Tea Cart Tinkering

 Hi Folks..

I'm back from Nowhere , giggle.  Thursday about the time we were all packed and ready to leave my Daughter said " I feel funny" . 10 minutes later it was obvious- I'll spare ya'll the gory details- we knew she has a tummy virus..   We brought everything back in and she basically went to bed for the next 4 days.. Then, as it usually happens around here, I got it.~!    All better now and we are thankful for that as well as the fact that we werent several hours down the road or at our destination.  When your sick, you just want your Own Bed.

Time to rest and think was a vacation of its own though and I have decided to return to reborning- Part Time..    I got away from it for awhile becuase I tend to let things consume me.. I've promised myself I will work only a certain number of hours and only a few days a week. No staying up all night and forgetting to eat. LOL.

Some of you may remember this tea cart I purchased 2 years ago..  I still love it but have been thinking it might be time for an update.   I'll be using my own formula of chalk paint but am unsure what color would be best..
White or more of a pale grey- what say You?
Its good to be back.. I have missed Ya'll bunches

  1. I own a lovely vintage tea cart that belonged to my aunt. I cannot part with it but it is very difficult to find a place for it in my home. Right now it is behind a couch that is mid room in the den. You can't really put a tea cart against a wall. Any suggestions?

  3. I'm glad you are feeling better, Sonny! I hate stomach viruses. I always knew I would get them once I got the kids through theirs. I love this tea cart, but I can understand how want you an update. What if you did the grey and highlighted some areas with white?

  11. I really don't like to be sick and not in my own bed. I can be a real baby! Glad you and your daughter are back on your feet! I love the tea cart, it's going to be pretty whatever shade you paint it! I've always wanted one. Is yours old?

  12. I guess I never knew you did the babies. They are the most beautiful doll babies I have ever seen. MY GOSH! What a talent you have there.

Love your old tea cart, too. I have one waiting for a paint job in the garage- xo Diana

  14. Ouch! I say don't paint it. I like painted wood too, but I never paint anything that is in good shape and finish. Painted furniture will eventually go out of style again. Please keep your beautiful tea cart!

  15. So sorry you had a bug but glad you are feeling better. I don't think you should paint the tea cart but that's just my opinion. It just looks so nice now, I think you might wish later that you didn't.

  16. So sorry you both got sick and I TA that we need our own beds when we feel poopy (hehe) :)

I love the cart and I would love to see it in gray first. The pale grays that are showing up everywhere are considered the "new" neutrals.

  17. Sonny, thanks for sharing this gorgeous tea cart. It's so pretty just the way it is, but I've seen magic with the new paint techniques as well. It's such a great piece you can't go wrong!

  18. Hi lovely Sonny,

What a gorgeous cart - and I'm intrigued by your own chalk paint recipe - how cool!!

I think I'd go with the grey because the white might show the dirt more easily (but would look very nice!!)...though that might just be because I have five sticky-fingered children!!
