Halloween Paperback Cuties

I know some of ya'll decorate for Halloween so I wanted to share this..
Easy peasy and cheap-  just the kind of craft bloggers adore lol.. especially me..

I'm participating in Susan's Party.. Please go visit her and the other posters at her party. You'll love it~!
Susan~Between Naps on the Porch Party
The photo tells most of the tale.. material list below- BUT- I know the creative minds in Blogland will come up with all sorts of new and beautiful ways to make these even better..  Turn that creative gene loose Folks~!
I cant wait to see what you do ...

Old paperback books
Hot glue gun
Black card-stock or construction paper~ stiffened fabric- or whatever makes your Halloween Heart sing:)
**********************
For a cylinder-shaped pumpkin, fold in the outer edge of the book’s first page to line up with the spine; crease along the fold. Continue to fold each page of the book and both covers in this manner.

For a cone-shaped pumpkin, fold down the top outer corner of the first page to line up the top edge of the page with the spine; crease along the fold. Next, fold in the remaining outer edge of the page to line up with the spine and crease. Continue to fold each page of the book and both covers in this manner.

Hot-glue the front and back covers together. Cut facial features, leaves, stems, and tendrils from black card-stock or construction paper. Twist the stems and tendrils into desired shape. Hot-glue the pieces in place on the pumpkin.

 see ya soon

  13. SO cute! I think these would be great to just do without even having to put the faces on them and use them in a vignette! OR after Halloween take the halloween "parts" off and use them in your decorating! Hmmmmmmm...LOVE it!!
