Our " July 4th " Dreams

I want to start this post with my sincere thanks to all of our Armed Forces and their Families..You make this celebration possible for us all.. Thank You for your Service ~!

I know we'll be stopping here for the best bar~b~que in the entire world.. Peach cobbler too:)
I sure wish ya'll could go with us. You wouldnt even need directions, just follow the scent of the hickory smoke in the air..
We'll need to go to the park and walk off some of those calories so we can be ready for all those to come as the day continues... You'll see what I mean further down the page lol..  Before the day is over ever blade of grass you see will be covered with a lawn chair, filled with folks clapping and singing along to the live music show that will fill the air with joyful sounds..
While the kids play at the park and hold our seat spaces we can stroll over to the Winery for a sampling of all the yummy wines they make here..
Later tonight we'll ride out by the lake.. The fireworks start about 10 pm and theres just nothing like fireworks on the water.. Works like a mirror image , a joy to see..

I'm not sure WHEN today I'll have this so I left it to Last-- but definately not Least:)  nope , none of that two spoon thing~!  This is Mine, ALL Mine:)

ohhhhhh what a glorious day in this Great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA..
thanks for spending a few minutes with me and sharing my day.. It really wouldnt be nearly as good without Ya'll...
xoxoxo

  3. Hi Sonny!
Sounds like the perfect slice of life for an old-fashioned July fourth.
I wish we had a good barbeque place nearby!
Everything around here is a chain store.

Have a lovely fourth. Enjoy your weekend!

  4. I would gladly sacrifice my fitness program on Independence Day if I could get my hands on a dish of ice cream like that! Hope your weekend is safe and fun and full of the celebration of our freedom!

  5. Hey there Sonny, we have been to Lexington, and OMGoodness that is some good BBQ!!~ The other day we drove all the way out to Gastonia, because we heard of another good BBQ, we get there and they are closed for the holiday week. BUMMER! All I can say is there were NOT a lot of choices in Gastonia...however we did have some home made icecream there that was to die for. Hope all is well. Enjoy the weekend.

  7. Hey Sonny! Terrific setting for the Fourth! BBQ is the best for the Fourth! Nothing like a lake and music with fireworks. Thanks for the stroll down Memory Lane!
