Life here in NC is getting better and we are closer to the Miracle of a Job Offering.. Which will set our life back right and be a blessings beyond what I can express.  Just to update some who may have missed it.. The company my daughter works for is closing its NC location and we would have been forced to relocate to Fla. or AZ.  Please know I am not speaking ill of these states but for us, they arent NC and we truly love it here and will be very happy to live out our lives here...  She has now had 2" in person interviews" with a new company and their offer should be made on or before Friday of this week.. As I said- its a true Miracle, especially in this economy and with so many seeking employment of any kind, much less in their choice of career.. Please keep us in your good thoughts and prayers.. We are GRATEFUL for them and know they have helped us through this upheavel of the last 4 months.

I'll be making my own version of this..Price of sample- 195.00 EACH.. yikes

 now about this Bedroom redo:)
everything is in the primed and not yet painted stage.. I am keeping a journal of pieces I buy and prices I pay, so I can give you all an accurate and detailed rundown of the total cost... You all know I believe in making my dreams come true On A Budget:)  and thats what I am going to do with this room..
The lamp and mood board are Sample Photos of items I am making or replicating along with the fabrics I choose for shams- duvet cover-bedskirt-bedbench cover and pillows..
I'm making my own version of the this lamp so please keep your fingers crossed for me..
I'll have before and after pics for you of the headboard and hopefully how I make my lamps.
heres the mood board I spoke of above.
I have some sweet folks who live near the coast of Fla. on the hunt for conch shells and others they find interesting .. I'll add them as accessories to help keep the cost down.
I'm hoping to have my room completed in time for the next Meta Monday as well as a beachy tabletop for Marty's party.. It sure feels good to know I can decorate my home again and be at peace that I am staying in it..  There's no place like Home,  There's no place like HOME... I've been clicking my heel together so much my ankle's are bruised, but it was sooooooooooooo worth it....

Thanks for visiting me and please come back as often as you can.. I love having company..

  8. Wishing, hoping, praying for your daughter's successful job search.

Love the bedroom colors. When you make your lamp you should include just one blue, highly visible shell.

  11. Hi Sonny...

So happy to hear your daughter's on the way to finding a job.... Always good news. :-)

Oh yes.... They don't call me Tightwad Tilly for nothing! I actually prefer doing decorating on a dime. It's so rewarding, isn't it? With money anything is possible, but the art is doing if on a shoestring. Can't wait to see what you come up with... I'm certain it's going to be delightful.

    Huggies,
    Spencer
