Gathering Decor Inspiration for the new Home

Ok I said for the new home but ya never know I might recieve a Miracle and get to stay right here:)  well, I can wish , cant I?  sure I can.. Doesnt cost anything to wish..
It does seem rather likely I'll be moving though and I want to be ready for all new decor if I do..
I finally found a bed I would love.. This is Savannah by Paula Dean and its about 1,300.00 00.. I wont be buying it - but I figure if I paint the 4 poster cherry bed I have, I can get close, so I'm gonna do it.
I've never been happy with the cherry, so I got nothing to loose...

I want a light bright bedroom and by using this as inspiration I believe I can acheive it.. I wont be using brown bedding.. Not sure what I will use yet but not brown:)
I have a bed bench-- so paint the legs and recover and that'll work.. Then all I have to buy is a could nite chests and I'll be set.  I dont like alot of furniture in my bedroom so no chests or dressers..

I had something like a green toile in mind.. heres a sample pic-- but I wont be using a throw that color.. yikes lol..
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me..  I wish I could be here and posting more often but right now theres just no time..

hugs
Sonny

  2. Hi Sonny, I have a poster bed that I have wanted to paint white, but just don't have the courage to go through with it. I'll be watching to see if you do that. I also have a bench at the foot that could be painted as well. Thanks for the inspiration photo, and keep us posted! Linda

  4. The bed painted white should be pretty and with all of the sunshine in Phoenix, it will be a really bright bedroom. Most houses as I am sure you have seen, have tons of windows and very little walls, so bright cheery rooms. Great inspiration. Hugs, Marty

  5. HI SONNY,
LOVE THAT PAULA DEEN BEDROOM SET, SO PRETTY!
CAN'T BELIEVE SHE HAS FURNITURE NOW TOO!
BET YOUR BEDROOM SET PAINTED WHITE WOULD NE VERY PRETTY. I LIKE WHITE TOO, WOULD LOVE TO PAINT MY OAK ONE WHITE, BUT THE THOUGHT OF THE WORK DOESN'T REALLY APPEAL TO ME.
AT LEAST YOUR PLANNING AND TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO, SO THAT IS POSITIVE, BUT WHO KNOWS MAYBE YOU WILL GET A
    REPRIEVE. HOPE SO!!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD HON,
    BLESSINGS, NELLIE

  7. Grand ideas for decorating. I like the bright and cheery look myself. I agree about that throw on the bed in the bottom picture. Does not appeal to me at all. Hope all goes well for you.

  8. Hi Sonny...

Those are some great and inexpensive solutions.... Isn't paint just the bestestest thing? I'll never stop being amazed by what a change a little paint can make. Your new room is going to be delish.

I'm praying that you'll have a path soon.... So you can get started on all of these planned projects!

    Huggies!
