I thought since there had been so many pastel tables and scapes done, I'd go in a slightly different direction.
The bunnies and birds dont seem to mind and Tommy said it looks great , so thats enough for me. I do of course hope you enjoy it too..
I rescued the bigger bunny from the evil clutches of goodwill. He was rainbow colored and not very well ,I might add. A little white spray paint was all it took to bring him back to bunny beauty.
I'm participating in Marty’s Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life.
Be sure to click on her link and go see all the lovely, creative folks who have
I am not the greatest at dying eggs but I think I got these fairly close to sage green, and YES I did make Tommy eat them even though he made a face. Shame on you Tommy.. :-)
I looked everywhere for white and black napkins and could'nt find any that suited me. Then I walk into my favorite thrift shop and there they were , Waverly~ Garden Club napkins.. I was thrilled.. There's another rescue bunny peeking out from behind the flowers.
Don't ya love those little birdies, I do.. I never cease to be amazed at what I can find at the newest Everything's A Dollar store.. They are heavy, not sure what they're made of.. I want to go back and get a second set and paint them in ORB.. I don't think I can have too many birds, do you?
This tiny fella had to have his own polka dot bow. I just adore bunnies..
.I had to stand on a ladder to get this shot, but its OK, ya'll are worth risking life and limb for... :-)
Thank you all so much for coming to visit me. I wish each and everyone a wonderful Easter and just like at Christmas, lets take some time to remember the reason for this Easter Season.. The tulips are blooming in full force after the very cold and snowy winter we had and everywhere I look, renewal and life awakening is taking place.. Good Health, Happiness and Hope are what I wish for us all...
Be Blessed my Friends
Your table is gorgeous! How kind of you to rescue those sweet rabbits. It's all very, very pretty! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Andrea
What a pretty tablescape. And, no, I don't think one can have too many birds, either. I'm glad you didn't break anything while taking pictures. You did such a lovely job with everything.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful table, Sonny! What a great find in those napkins! They go so well with your placemats and tablescape, too. Love the bunnies ~ I never thought about spray painting them. I'll have to remember that next time I see a wacky colored one! I think I have those same little birdies that I got at our Dollar Tree. Your Tommy is very good to indulge you by eating the green eggs!
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is really exquisite. I love the black and white with sage. All of your rescued bunnies are fabulous. So precious and the centerpiece with the bunnies and the flowers is just stunning. All of your dishes and accessories are perfect. I also really like the napkins, that's a wonderful find. Stunning. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Sonny! I love the bunny you rescued. The sage green eggs are so neat too. Here lately i've been looking for green pretties to add to my home. :) I hope you have a wonderful evening.
ReplyDeleteSandra
I love your tablescape, uh, tabletop, Sonny! It looks very elegant as black and white combo always does. I also like it cause it is out of the ordinary....Christine
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty! I love the color scheme you used. It is timeless. I really love how you were able to find that bunny and see what he could be too, with just a little paint. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, it is very unique! I really like it!
ReplyDeleteKatherine

Sonny, gorgeous table. I love mixing in the toile with the Easter decor. Very classy.
ReplyDeleteSonny, such a pretty table again. You scored with those napkins. Love your bunnies and no you can never have too many birds.
ReplyDeleteA very elegant tablescape. I love black and white. Lately I have been into white or off white. It looks so clean and fresh. Happy Easter, Lisa
ReplyDeleteSonny, you always manage to outdo yourself! Just so pretty! And Tommy will survive the sage green egg- it's all for the tablescaping cause!

Hi Sonny,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table! And what a great find on the napkins , they are wonderful..Beautiful colors!
Happy Easter, and many blessings to you!
This is such a gorgeous table! Black and white is not a typical Easter color, but you've put it together and made it work perfectly! I love both toile and bunnies, so I of course LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteHow refreshing to see Easter decor in a different color palette. Just love it all!
ReplyDeleteMy eyes were drawn to the little tan dotted egg and thought at first it might be netting... then I read how you dotted and colored it. How cute.
I also couldn't help but notice the beautiful Poms on your side bar. I have my Poms on my side bar too... They brought me 14 and 15 years of great joy! I just got a new Pound Puppy, and he is adorable.
Talk to you soon ;)
Bunny Jean
Dearest Sonny.
ReplyDeleteThis is so elegant; what an exceptional tablescape with a sweet touch of the dear bunnies, as well as an oh-so-chic colour scheme of black and white for Easter!..,I adore toile as well!
I do hope you can once again partake with my little 24th, 'Tuesday Tea For Two', tea party my dear! I set up all of the jewelry display mannequins that I had made for my friends and 'brought them all to tea' this week for a sweet surprise!~ Do pop by for a visit also, just to see.
Cheers and hugs from Wanda Lee @ The Plumed Pen
Oh Sonny, this is just beautiful!
ReplyDeletesonny, i love your black and white easter table! timeless and elegant is a great way to describe it for sure. rescued bunnies, yeah! i always enjoy your tables.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a NICE change from pastels! I love the colour combo you chose and those (now) white rabbits make a beautiful centerpiece! I can't believe you got so many of those fab accessories at a Thrift Shop! Lovely, Lovely tablescape! (No, you can't have too many birdies!)
ReplyDeleteDD
Sonny, I think the black and white table scape is very chic. I have a friend who has decorated her entire house using four colors-black, white, soft pink and sage green. It is lovely, and so is your table.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super gorgeous post. I absolutely love everything about your Spring table. Don't get me started on black and white and sage green...one of my fav color combos. Girl, I thought I was gonna get out me new~to~me china for Easter but the boys have informed me they want bacon wrapped shrimp and fish/steaks on the grill for Easter and chargrilled meat ain't gonna touch my dainties so we'll see what I do. lol
ReplyDeleteLove your treasures and love that you rescue pitties and get the paint and sharpie out and make nice with your new critters.
Easter love and blessings
I absolutely love that you've dared to go into another color dimension with this! And I am in awe of all of it. I'm so glad you came to visit me so I could find you. I'm bookmarking you, girl. Love your sense of style!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I don't have a blog, but am just one of the many people who enjoy looking thru all the wonderful blogs.
ReplyDeleteI had to comment on how beautiful your table is. We have much in common! I did my Easter decor in black, white and lime green! I adore bunnies and no, you can never have too many birds...just ask my 30! I even tied black and white poka dot ribbons around the necks of my bunnies. I have a sign on my porch for spring that says: "Plant a Garden, Feed a Bunny!" And since I feed the wild bunnies around my place it seemed meant for my home!
Again...beautiful table...just love your taste!
Sandy
Hi Sonny, I love your non pastel Easter table, it is very sophisticated :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't believe there is any such thing as too many birds indoors or out (unless your in a Hitchcock movie :-)
Thanks for visiting..
Bella
What a beautiful, unusual color combination for an Easter table! I love all the special touches you've added -- and you are SOME bargain shopper!

If I did not want you to partake, I wouldn't have most warmly invited you, as indeed I did; and so glad that I did! Thanks ever so much for visitmg as well as for partaking with my 24th,'Tuseday Tea For Two', blog party this week! (The fact that you post is seasonal and about tablescaping; also that it is so very pretty, innovative and creative, that is what makes it a stellar 'fit' as far as I am concerned Sonny)!
I will posting a 'red and white' post in my Silken Purse blog for my little, 'Wednesday Tea For Me And Thee', blog party meme,if you'd care to pop over for another visit, at my other blog tomorrow my dear.~(I may just have to include and 'play with the cocept' just a wee bit more of my 'jewelery display mannequins', as I've just had so much fun with them!
Cheers and hugs from Wanda Lee @ The Plumed Pen,and also @ Silken Purse
Just charming!
